Make Believe

When an anxious teen boy brings his worst nightmare to life, he must team up with a girl from a secret world where imagination and magic are the same thing, before it traps them in a waking nightmare forever.

Adam Ledger doesn’t have normal teen anxiety. When he’s afraid, cracks appear in the air around him, and if they grow large enough (if he’s afraid enough) the cracks open, and monsters come out.

When a school bully pushes him too far, Adam loses control and unleashes the Nightmare: a corrupted version of himself that can drive people mad with fear, trapping them inside their own minds in a permanent waking nightmare.

A girl named Cora recognises what Adam is, and shows him a hidden world of ancient magic that belongs to the makers, people who can change reality with their imagination. But not even the makers can keep them safe. The Nightmare is searching for them, and it won’t stop until it finds Adam.

To stop it, Adam must do the one thing he’s failed to do his entire life - face his fears. If he fails again, the Nightmare won’t just destroy him; it will spread its waking nightmare from person to person until the whole world is trapped in it forever.
